Incorporated in 1964, Ardova PLC was initially known as British Petroleum, a private limit liability company. After 14 years of operation, British Petroleum became a public liability company and in 1979, it changed its name to African Petroleum PLC and in 2020, the name was changed to Ardova PLC.
