The Wizz Air Holdings PLC (LON: WIZZ) share price fell 1.31% after releasing its September traffic and CO2 emissions data earlier today. The airline carried 5,538,773 passengers, marking a 21.1% improvement from the September 2022 figures. The company had a load factor of 92.4%.

The budget airline kept growing its network by launching a new route from Bucharest to Thessaloniki, which should begin operating at the end of October. The airline also revealed the launch of a new educational video supporting its staff in providing passenger instruction during in-flight, on-boarding and off-boarding.

The new video is part of the Active Boarding initiative, aiming to improve the customer experience and reduce boarding time. The airline intends to share the video via multiple channels, including airport displays, to reach as many passengers as possible.

The budget airline regularly reports the lowest CO2 emissions per passenger/km ahead of all its competitors, with the current figure being 51.6 grams per passenger/km for the trailing 12 months (TTM) to 30 September 2023.
During September, Wizz Air’s emissions were 51.0 grams per passenger/km, 7.1% lower than in September 2022. The ultra-low-cost airline operates a fleet of 187 Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft and is Europe’s fastest-growing airline.
The airline has a dedicated staff of aviation professionals who deliver superior customer service and very low fares. Wizz Air carried 51.1 million passengers in the 2023 financial year that ended in March 2023 and is on track to surpass this figure in the current year.
